The South Korean president’s appeal comes as North Korea’s nuclear and missile developments have increasingly captured international attention. These concerns have been compounded by Pyongyang’s growing closeness with Moscow. Although Trump’s initial meetings with Kim during his first presidential term sparked hope for diplomatic breakthroughs, the efforts stalled without a lasting resolution.
