During the 23rd annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized the need for a more stable multipolar world order amidst the ongoing global security crisis. He attributed this crisis to bloc confrontations and attempts by some countries to secure unilateral advantages. Putin suggested that the resolution of the Ukraine conflict should come through compromise and negotiations rather than a decisive victory by either side.
Putin underscored that the previous unipolar international system is evolving into a multipolar framework, advocating for enhanced cooperation based on the varied interests of different nations. He expressed Russia’s willingness to collaborate with other countries to develop a more stable international system. In his vision, Ukraine should maintain neutrality once the conflict concludes.
In a separate development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the first combat deployment of Ukraine’s domestically developed FP-7 tactical ballistic missile. While Zelenskyy did not specify the location or target of the missile’s use, he indicated that Ukraine is moving towards production of the missile.
