Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that since Saturday, over 1,600 drones had been intercepted, with around 450 directed towards the capital. The assault managed to breach the defenses of the Moscow Oil Refinery, while a residential building in the Moscow region sustained damage, leading to the evacuation of approximately 400 residents from a 21-story apartment complex.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the strikes were aimed at crucial Russian energy and logistics infrastructure, underscoring Ukraine’s strategic use of long-range drones and locally produced weapons to impact targets deep within Russian territory.
